baking with swit@kon : Chocolate Dipped Toasted Coconut Macarons


dan Famous Chocolate Chip Cookie yang tidak jadi!

this happened last Friday. i was supposed to go to TM Cyberjaya with Kicap after lunch, tapi dia cancel last minit sebab dia nak tukar Broadband Package kami di TM Point di Shah Alam sahaja. so, i made an authorization letter, and now our Broadband changed from 1Mbps to 4Mbps with the new super cool Streamyx Unipack!

so, i went home and quickly put on my virtual apron (kerana takde apron pun sebenarnya, comot2 lap pakai kain lap je :p) and gather all the ingredients needed to make a recipe by Joy the Baker - Chocolate Dipped Toasted Coconut Macarons. (recipe link)


it's started off by toasting a tray of coconuts. i separate 4 eggs white and start whipping with a pinch of salt. 

 


sugar was added in three parts. 

when the egg white's is fluffy (try to turn it upside down, wait whether it'll drop or not on the top of your head!) throw the brown-ish coconut and scoop it onto the baking parchment. 

 



baked for approximately 20 minutes (depends on your oven's ability). melt your cooking chocolate (double-boiler) and dip you macarons to the melting chocolate. 


refrigerate to get a very nice, shiny chocolate coated macarons. store in tight containers. 



right after the Chocolate Dipped Toasted Coconut Macarons, i was full with adrenaline rush. hahaha. tetiba rasa semangat nak buat Chocolate Chips Cookie. 

apa lagi, semua utensils yang digunakan untuk buat macarons dah siap basuh, mulalah saya buat second projek. resepi adalah dari hasil muat turun ebook yang menjadi kegilaan terkini. sebab cookie ni tak jadi, saya tak buh resepi k. 



tengok macam sedap kan?
tahu tak apa yang membuatkan benda ni tak jadi? huhu. dalam resepi tulis guna FLOUR. tapi all purpose flour saya telah habis. saya gunalah TEPUNG GANDUM!!!!!!!!! lembik semacam je jadinya.end up biskut jadi cekodok. huhu.

nampaknya ada org dah terjangkit penyakit ketagih membaking hehe..

babe, setau aku la kan..all purpose flour tu adalah tepung biasa, kalau us punye resepi diorg guna term 'all purpose', kalau uk 'plain flour'

aku selalu buat jadik jek..hehe..adakah kerana ovenmu yg sudah uzur? beli je la oven baru beb.. =)

ye beb, all purpose flour adalah tepung gandum..
ok lah tu, jadi aper.. :)
