Salam everyone!
how's your long holiday weekend? syiok kan!
it's only day 2. ada lagi sehari untuk enjoy relaxing di rumah.
seriously after a whole week bekerja, sabtu ahad adalah hari paling bahagia.
itu belum kira cuti hari jumaat kan? alhamdulillah.
mood baking datang lagi. yes, i love baking. cooking is fun but baking is great fun!
khamis lepas, saya korbankan persembahan Casey James (American Idol) dengan berpanas di dapur menunggu brownie masak.
this is the first ever attempt baking a brownie. and mind you, from scratch ok. just like Lin's Nasi Tomato haha. so after work on thursday, i quickly drove to Mydin to get my baking scale, philadelphia cheese and cocoa powder. a few minutes stop at carrefour, alamanda for my butter 'mahal' Lurpak and the best pearl milk tea to quenched the thirst. sampai rumah, cuci muka, sinsing lengan dan terus masuk dapur. armed with David Lebovitz's Cheesecake Brownie recipe, i whipped every single ingredients and to my dissappointment, the first batch of my chocolate mixture adalah salah ok. hahaha. terover gula, dan sikit butter! sedih gila tengok mixture itu di let go di dalam sinki. tidak berputus asa, i started to mixing the ingredients (again!) for a new chocolate mixture. alhamdulillah. kali ini ok. after poured the chocolate mixture in a 9-inch flat pan i turned on my electric mixer for the second part of the brownie. it was easy. ye la dah biasa buat cheesecake mix, so takde hal sangat. dan campuran kedua2 itu membentuk ala2 marble cake. dengan kekurangan spatula lengkok untuk membolehkan saya meliuk2kan cheese mixture itu, saya gunakan pisau saja. hahaha. oh and i didn't use foil as the based of the brownie sebab stock foil di rumah telah habis. huhu
chocolate mix. before adding the cheesecake mix
the messy lovely mixture
dah masak. noticed the hangit part???
potong
apapun, attempt itu berjaya. sedap ok. sangat sedap cuma sedikit bebelan sang super cook ibu yang takdelah terror baking 'lain kali gunalah pan yang tinggi supaya tebal sikit dan sedap lagi'. baiklah mak! so, there are more recipes to be reviewed. tunggu saje kay. semuanya kerana terpengaruh dan jeles ngan Puan Suhana Azlin yang berada di Aberdeen dan menjadi domestic diva ketika ini.
yummeh!!!
ok. itu je lah. nak cerita apa lagi. gambar2 hanya diambil semasa tangan bersih dari sebarang adunan kek dan sebagainya. itu menyebabkan tiada gambar semasa proses pembuatan berlangsung. sila cuba recipe ini ye. nak recipe nya? saya tanak paste kat belog. sila ke blog pemilik asal kat sini. (link)
have fun baking! and have a gggrrrreat weekend kay.
the end product :)
xoxo

Storage: These will keep in an airtight container for a couple of days. They also freeze well, too.
Cheesecake Brownies
One 9-inch (23cm) square pan
6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
4 ounces (115g) bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
2/3 cup (130g) sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1/2 cup (70g) flour
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (80g) chocolate chips
8 ounces (200g) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 large egg yolk
5 tablespoons (75g) sugar
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. Line a 9-inch (23cm) square pan with foil, making sure it goes up all four sides. Use two sheets if necessary. Mist with non-stick spray or grease lightly.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (180C).
3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and beat in the 2/3 cup (130g) sugar, then the eggs.
4. Mix in the flour, cocoa powder and salt, then the vanilla and chocolate chips. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
5. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese, the yolk, 5 tablespoons (75g) of sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
6. Distribute the cream cheese mixture in eight dollops across the top of the brownie mixture, then take a dull knife or spatula and swirl the cream cheese mixture with the chocolate batter.
7. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the batter in the center of the pan feels just set.
Let cool, then lift out the foil and peel it away. Cut the brownies into squares.
